Hank Aaron was born in 1934, the same year as Roberto Clemente, but in the city of Mobile, Alabama, and died just two years ago, in 2021. His career began in a segregationist league, reserved for blacks, in a time when America was deeply divided. After playing for the Mobile Black Bears and then the Indianapolis Clowns, he signed with the Boston Braves in 1952 before joining a major league team, MLB, in 1954 with the Milwaukee Braves. Always humble on the field, he distinguished himself in his social actions, and yet set records: 6856 goals, 2297 RBI and 1477 more than one base hits. With a total of 3,771, he is the third athlete in history with the most hits, allowing the batter to reach a base. It is therefore no coincidence that Hank Aaron was inducted into the Hall of Fame, the Baseball Hall of Fame, in 1982. In 1994, with the help of his wife Billye, he created the Chasing the Dream Foundation which works to help underprivileged young people pursue their passion through scholarships. To pay tribute to him, the league created the Hank Aaron Award in 1999 to award the title of best offensive player.
