Chinese refractory products output in the first half of 2016 decreased 6%

Production of refractory products in China suffered a slowdown in the first half of the year, while exports of refractory mineral raw materials also saw double-digit declines. Prices continue to edge downwards.

Chinese refractory products output in the first half of 2016 decreased 6% y-o-y to a total 10.57m tonnes, according to latest industry estimates by the Association of China Refractories.

Of this, density refractory product accounted for 6.98m tonnes, 2% below last year.
