Community

The community of FanArtReview is well known for being supportive. If you join (and you should) you will get feedback from artists and photographers of all skill levels. But what is nice is when you receive feedback you can see who is reviewing your post. You can view their portfolio and see the comments that they have received on their artwork and photography. And, if you wish, return the comment back to them. It's a warm and friendly community looking to help other artists. And don't worry if you are new to this. Most artists begin as beginners but stay for the community.

The artwork is featured each month for the Traditional Artwork of the Month contest.  This contest highlights art that was well received during the month. This is a great way to find art to buy or just to enjoy the art from talented artists at FanArtReview. Artwork that you can enjoy varies from paintings to digital art to pencil sketches. It's enjoyable to see what is featured.

Family

When you join FanArtReview you'll find that fellow members can be like family. The welcome committee will send you a letter describing how the site works and what you can do. They are also available to answer questions which is great. There is also a dedicated support staff that is available to answer questions. But you'll also find that fellow members will answer questions in the forums or even when you are providing feedback for their art or photos. FanArtReview has many ways to learn but more importantly the family atmosphere is wonderful.

Rankings

It's not all kittens and puppies. For the serious artist or competitor you can be a part of the rankings. The rankings are updated daily and give everyone that posts a rank. You can be ranked for photography or artwork. The rankings are based on the feedback that you receive from other fanartreview members.  You will learn much by being part of a competition. Each time you get a review you'll see your ranking go up or down based on the rating of the review. So if you get a six star rating (the highest rating possible) you will see your rank go up. But get poor reviews and you may see your rank go down. It adds fun and motivation to sharing art and photography.

Sales

If your goal is to make money from your photography or art FanArtReview can help. The site provides artists and photographers with a means to put work up for sale. You choose what to sell it for and FanArtReview will promote your work to those that are on the site to make purchases. The buyers can see the comments on your work so work that is well received with reviewers sells faster.  You can also search for art and photos using the interface provided so if you have a unique post that may stand out. But what seems to sell best are photos and artwork that will look good hanging on the wall for decoration. And the site encourages this form of art with the contests (landscape, nature, flowers) etc..
