India is an amazing country with its diverse and rich culture. But apart from this, the country is as crazy, chaotic as it gets.  Here is a list of some of the most bizarre things that can happen only in India:

1. Mera Beta Doctor/Engineer Banega!:

If you're in India, pick up a stone, throw it in any random direction and it will inevitably hit a doctor or an engineer and everyone like to become Abdul Kalam. Once a child is born, he has his life chalked out for him by society:

School>entrance exam>Doctor/Engineer>MBA>Get married>Have kids. The cycle loops on for generations. And God forbid, you try something different! You WILL be shunned. 

2. Begging is an art, here:

Some beggars earn more a month than a graduate working in an MNC! No wonder your mother rebukes you every time you score low on a paper and tells you to become a beggar for a living

3. There's more moral policing than actual police work:

PDA with your date? There's a chance the two of you will be forced to tie the knot by the moral police right on the spot

4. Love comes in all shapes and sizes, sometimes even in the form of a cow!:

There have been more than one documented case of guys marrying cows or girls ending up with dogs, as their better half!

5. Big movie release dates are declared as state holidays!

6. People swallow live fish to cure asthma!

The Goudy family, in India, has a homemade remedy which claims to cure asthma and involves swallowing fish, that too a live one, that is supposedly filled with a secret medicine.

7. For God's sake, don't pee on the walls!:

 Like literally. Gods guard the walls from being peed on. People put up pictures of Gods on the street walls to prevent people from urinating on them.

8. Jugaad is key:

From heating the pizza on a hot iron to wearing helmets while cutting onions, Indians swear by Jugaad- the wackiest, craziest and sometimes downright brilliant forms if it!

9. Animals get arrested!:

Parrots are locked up in jail for hurling obscene abusesof women,

Goats, for being a part of a suspected cattle theft racket. Talk about wacky!

 10. Bollywood is the 'baap' of all professions:

As someone rightly said, "Priyanka Chopra earned more money playing Mary Com, than Mary Com in her entire career". Truer words have never been spoken.

India, with its crazy customs and weird traditions, never fails to amuse us. Yet with all its wackiness, we love India no matter what.
