Windshield Wipers

Wiper blade varies from car to car, so follow the given below tips to clean or replace old blades.

  • While washing your windshield by hand, lift the blades, and remove the old blades.
  • Pay attention when your old blades connect to the metal arms.
  • In most of the recent model, there is a tab on the underside of the wiper. Push the tab to remove old blade.
  • Be careful while adding new blade to the car. Do not bend the wiper arm or scratch your windshield. Keep things neat, secure and tight.

If you still fail to replace the old blade on the wiper arm, don’t worry. The packaging for the new blades comes with a set of instructions and helpful diagram.

2. Spark plug replacement

Most of the spark needs replacement after 30,000 miles, but you needs to check you your owner’s manual to see if your vehicle is any different. Changing a spark plug, might sound like a lengthy task but it is quite simple.

  • You can easily locate your spark plugs as it is attached to thick rubbery wires.
  • Depending on your car you will find four, six, or eight plugs.
  • First remove the wire. Do rush to remove all the wires at once. They are installed in certain order and you need to maintain that. 
  • To remove the first spark plug, use spark plug socket and extension on your ratchet.
  • Install a new spark plug, screw it at first and then tighten it with a wrench. Do not over-tighten.
  • Re-attach the spark plug wire.
  • Repeat these steps for each spark plug.
