An Indian and Oriental Recipe - Honey Lemon Pulao with exotic Paneer

Unique with its name, this recipe is a combination of an Indian and oriental cuisine. This Honey Lemon Paneer Pulao consists of a super delicious taste of paneer, tangy taste of Lemon and added sweetness of honey, which gives one of its kind experience to the foodies.

This sweet and sour recipe also consists of orange juice. In the end, a sprinkle of biryani masala completes the recipe with its own style. Made up with the simple ingredients which you can always find at your home.

Adding some fresh and colourful veggies brings a brilliant recipe for foodies. You can serve this recipe in any occasion, festival or even when your guests arrive at the eleventh hour, as it doesn’t take much time to cook.

Ingredients:-

  • Honey - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon Rind - ½ Tsp
  • Cooked Rice (Long Grained Basmati) - 3 Cups
  • Cottage Cheese Cubes (Paneer Cubes) - 1 Cup
  • Orange Juice - ¼ Cup
  • Black Pepper (kalimirch) - ¼ Tsp
  • Chilli Powder - ½ Tsp
  • Salt - To Taste
  • Red & Green Capsicum Cubes - ½ Cup
  • Carrot Cubes (Boiled) - ½ Cup
  • Biryani Masala - 1 Tsp
  • Oil - 1 Tbsp
  • Sugar - ½ tsp

Method:-

1. Take a deep bowl and add ingredients like Orange Juice, Pepper Powder, Salt, Chilli Powder, and Honey. Mix them well with the help of a whisk.

2. Add paneer cubes into the liquid and mix them gently with the mixture. Then cover them with a lid and keep aside for 15-20 minutes to marinate.

3. Now take a non-stick pan and add all veggies (Red capsicum, green capsicum and carrot cubes), saute them for around 2 -3 minutes on a medium flame.

4. Once veggies are cooked, then add rice into the mixture. Mix well and add turmeric powder, sugar, biryani masala, Lemon Juice, and salt. Give a good mix and cook the rice for around 3 minutes on a medium flame. Stir Continuously,

5. Once rice is ready, add marinated paneer with the marinade. Mix gently and add lemon rind. Stir continuously and cook the recipe on the medium flame for a minute.

6. Once ready, put the flame off and convert the pulao into the serving plate.

7. Garnish the dish with coriander leaves and a piece of lemon.

8. Serve hot with Pickle or papad.
