            This job position provides for the supervision of crew work activities in the community as well as at the ACI work sites. Among the duties are; supervision of inmate work crew activities, coordinating communication between designated regional operations manager and the inmate workforce, performing path, strip as well as work searches. The other ditties are reviewing work products, maintaining a clean, safe and secure work environment, administering work evaluations, performing counts, exercise disciplinary measure and maintain the safety of keys, equipment, and other things.  This extends to other duties appropriate to the job.

For one to be considered for this position, he must have a knowledge of federal, state, and agency law, rules as well as regulations.  He must also be knowledgeable of principles and practices of inmate management and supervision. He must also have skills in problem solving, inventory control as well as search control and techniques.

            One must also apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures have the ability to make decisions, manage time, lead and supervise and establish and maintain interpersonal relationships. The selection factors require possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver and Commercial Driver’s License appropriate to the assignment. Those who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12). Selective preference is on Two years’ experience as a Correctional Officer or professional experience in correctional services or criminal justice sector.  This employment is contingent on selected applicant passing a background investigation as well as a drug test.
