Full success for "yellow vests"

With more than 30% of the students participating in this event, the operation " yellow vests " organized by the youth departmental council was a real success.

"Everything started with a donation that was made to us after a cycling event to take action for road safety. The young people seized it and reflected on a slogan that could talk to young people and became ambassadors in each of the colleges, "explains Cabanas, departmental counselor.

Students then had to register via the ENT (digital workspace). In the department 1,900, middle school students completed this process, including 116 for the College René-Cassin, making it the most receptive institution to this proposal.

FEDERTEEP's awareness campaign was not unrelated to this success. She intervened in the college to show students the risks they faced through a particularly striking video that resulted in a "spike" of requests.

An additional "stock"

In addition to this high participation rate, the establishment is also distinguished by the provision of additional vests. "An additional stock was provided at the request of school life and parents of students who got involved in the operation, stressing that it would be interesting for adults to set an example.

These safety vests will be used to welcome students on the parking lot in the morning in winter, "explains Cabanas. The stock may also be used for certain outings such as those regularly performed in sports and a distribution could be organized each year to sixth-grade students.

This action is also part of an approach of the establishment which also includes the learning of "gestures that save". All third graders also pass the PSC1 through the four instructors who can intervene to provide this first aid training in the institution.
