DARJEELING

 On your way to Darjeeling which is the most popular destination in North East Indiayou will pass through numerous tea gardens that will provide a breath taking sight of the place. The panoramic view of the Kanchenjunga peak from the observation deck of the Tiger Hills at the back drop of sunrise is simply surreal. You can also visit the Ghoom Monastery built in 1857, where you will find a 15ft statue of future Buddha. The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute here is world famous for all the right reasons. The PN Zoological Park, Ten zing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre, the Japanese Temple and the Batasia Loop are the other main attractions of Darjeeling.

PANCHMARI HILL STATION

This hill station, popularly known as the Queen of Satpura is a popular destination for weekend trips. Situated at an altitude of 1067 feet, this spot is blessed with myriad attractions and surrounded by the beautiful forest of the green impenetrable Satpura range and deep ravines. The glorious sunset of Panchmari with various shades of purple and violet, embracing the hills is one of its main attractions. It is a treasure with ancient caves of Buddhist era residing in harmony with serene waterfalls. Legend says that the five Pandava brothers visited Panchmari during their exile. The Raj pat Waterfalls, the Bee Falls, Dhoopgarh, Jata Shankar Caves, Pandava Caves, Satpura National Park, Mahadeo Hills are some of the popular sites. Do visit Priyadarshini a point from where Captain Forsyth discovered Panchmari.

MANALI
