Carrots are one of the healthiest vegetables that have multiple health benefits. It is hence regarded as the orange superfood. Juicy, crunchy & tasty carrots, you can always be creative with the humble carrots. Have it as a snack, in a salad, gently toast it, make a smoothie or even use it for dessert like carrot halwa, the carrot will bring out the taste as per the recipes that go to make it. It compliments well with rice as carrot pulao, goes well with noodles & pasta & adds a dash of colour to the food in addition to the great presentation. Out of which carrot Halwa is the most favorite and popular Indian dessert recipe in the summertime when the fresh red carrots hot the market.

The benefits of carrot are such that it can be consumed by all. Easy to digest & filling, carrots can also be given to an infant as a smooth paste or juice. Here are a few of the health benefits of carrots.

  • Carrots contain Vitamin C which is a much-recognized antioxidant which helps in boosting the immune system.

  • Carrot has lesser calories. The intake of carrot can satisfy your hunger with little or no calories. Hence it a favorite weight loss option. So, if you make carrot Halwa then use sugar-free.

Given the understanding of various health benefits with Carrot, it compliments all. However, the most favorite recipe of carrot is Carrot Halwa/ Gajar Halwa. This is must be made Indian desserts during any festival, celebrations or family gathers during Diwali or pujas, etc.
