With just a few months remaining to enter the 2020s, there are a few things that are worth reminiscing. The early days of the internet are certainly one hell of a journey if anyone had been through. The craziest thing of them all was people had to endure internet speeds in the kilobytes.

Downloads and uploads were mostly restricted due to the bandwidth that was available to us. Apart from that, pretty much everything went according to how people had anticipated. Saving data all over the place was quite a thing. After the age of magnetic tapes in VHS, the compact discs were a saving grace.

No matter what, the compactness and the ease that compact discs provided when it came to saving video recordings was incredible. Apart from that, the most common forms of entertainment for people were audio podcasts, games, movies, etc.

People still loved reading books in physical copy forms. The concept of ebooks definitely had been there for a small time in the form of doc and pdf files, but people weren’t exactly comfortable with that.

CD Duplication was the way to go. People were able to burn information that they wanted to store for a long time on their compact discs instead. The hard drives weren’t exactly insane at that point and downloading speeds weren’t conducive.

Hence, storing it in a CD or DVD made a lot more sense than usual. Now, these compact discs are not that great when it comes to storage. These discs might get destroyed if in contact with fire or dust or pressure. A cover was extremely necessary to have it in a good shape no matter what.

Apart from that, a secure place and a compact disc full of information guarantee easy storage options. Burning information on these compact discs made people share these with friends and family. A massive tussle on the fact that people didn’t return back these discs on time made a lot of fun memories.

Now, with the availability of high-speed internet, things are definitely much easier when it comes to acquiring a piece of content. However, the efforts and memories behind these are definitely worth a look behind. The current situation is considerably better than what it was, not gonna lie.
