Lumix is a brand digital cameta of Panasonic. Many Panasonic Lumix DMC series support MJPEG/AVCHD dual recording modes. As we know, mac application like imovie, fcp(x), iphoto is not work well with the avchd file. Maybe you will meet some problems like the users bellow:

I can't upload AVCHD video to my mac?

I own a Macbook(intel) and after recently shooting some videos in ACVHD format on my Panasonic Lumix FT2 I found that when I plug the camera into the computer the videos don't even show up(they are on the camera). Anyone know what to do?

"Problem with AVCHD Lite video files on mac?

I just bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35. I recorded some video files but when I plugged the memory card into my Macbook Pro, they didn't show up. I tried plugging the camera into my computer too but they still didn't show. Then I tried recording in Motion JPEG and those showed up when I plugged in the memory card and the camera. This wouldn't really be a problem but Motion JPEG files eat up the memory so much. Like on my 8GB memory card, I could only record 8 minutes of Motion JPEG but could record over an hour with AVCHD. How do I get the AVCHD files to show up?!"
