Way to Remove Paint From Concrete

We will discuss different ways to remove dried paint from the concrete surface. You should be careful when implementing any of them, as you may have to replicate them multiple times before you can get rid of the paint. Many relevant techniques to help you with the process are discussed below:

Method #1: Using Paint Strippers The most common technique to remove paint from concrete includes using chemical strippers. You can use them on all paints, including waterproof ones. Many specific stripping companies are on the market. Soy-based strippers are considered safe as non-toxic and easy to use. They're found in gel form. Apply the gel to the paint and let it settle. This will loosen the heavy, dry paint somewhat. Then take a thick plastic scraper and remove the gel from the concrete surface.

If the coat is dense, more than one application is needed. The best part of the chemical stripper is you can reuse the same gel strip again and again. Upon scraping the maximum amount of paint from the concrete, rub the spot with a nylon brush upon adding some scouring powder and water to eliminate soft paint residues. Eventually, clean the area thoroughly with plain water, and return a free surface of concrete color.

Stop using toxic chemical strippers in nature. They show swift action but damage the eyes, skin, and climate. To use them on any stubborn paint stains, take all necessary precautions. The area to be used should be properly ventilated and any furnaces, boilers or pilot light stored in the area should be switched off.

Method #2: Use Shot Blaster Shot blasting equipment to remove sturdy concrete paint quite effectively. This is a very pricey computer to rent from nearby home improvement stores. The operating principle resembles that of sandblaster. The only difference, it throws away tiny metal beads instead of sand. The abrasive coating applied under high pressure on the concrete's affected surface helps remove the color. It has a vacuum attachment that removes stones, dust and paint particles by suction. The unit should be so carefully transferred to the concrete that no concrete is taken off. Shot blowing also causes significant concrete surface damage. Therefore, it should only be used when paint stains are really nasty. Concrete that is already broken or chipped is not recommended because its harmful effect can be so bad you have to go for urgent concrete repair.
