Wireless Sensors: Workplace Management’s Future

Posted by UbiBot on January 30th, 2023

Gone are the days when wireless industrial temperature sensors were installed through a strenuous writing process. It was time-consuming, disruptive, and messy. Companies had no alternative but to manage the sensors built into their office space, as upgrading/ replacing them was expensive. Many companies didn’t even have sensors and they depended on manual techniques of spatial analysis such as routine inspections and walk-throughs.

But the advent of Industrial Wireless Sensors has changed the scenario. Companies now reap the multiple benefits of wireless sensors, and they can be installed in minutes. So, what exactly is a wireless sensor and what are its types? How do they improve the spatial intelligence of companies?

Wireless sensor: Definition

A Wireless Vibration Sensor is a kind of technology that sends various kinds of alerts to the user. Whether there is someone in a room or a drop in the temperature – they send prompt alerts. What makes these sensors unique is that they don’t have complex wiring structures. You can simply connect them to your office via WiFi.

Different types of wireless sensors

  1. Water sensor- A water sensor is responsible for preventing floods and water damage. It alerts the user if there is water in a space that should remain dry, such as a control room.
  2. Motion sensor- Motion sensors or motion detectors detect whether there is a person in a specific area. Modern motion sensors can even let you know the number of people in a space with excellent accuracy.
  3. Temperature sensor- A Wireless Temperature Monitoring System measures how cold or hot a space is. For many industries like pharmaceuticals and the food industry, even one degree of difference in the temperature can affect the quality of the product. So, these industries install temperature sensors to minimize losses resulting from compromised products. Typical offices can also benefit from wireless temperature sensors as they monitor the HVAC system’s performance and helps the manager detect issues before they become a major problem.
  4. Door sensor- A door sensor is a variation of wireless sensors that can track any kind of motion in a particular door frame. So, each time the door closes or opens, the sensor will notify the person monitoring. These are commonly used in security applications for obvious reasons.

Wrapping Up

So, IFTTT wireless tags are great for several industries. They provide accurate monitoring and holistic data of a big space like an entire floor of your office building.
