Tips to Remain Healthy This Rainy Season

The First and starting droplets of monsoon make us joyous and relieved. But, In this wonderful season, we too need to be really careful with regards to the food which we intake and the activities we perform. There are certain health issues from which we can suffer due to monsoon. Especially kids are very liable to be influenced during monsoon.

This is the season where waterborne diseases and other bacterias can attack food which directly attacks our health and we can get the reduction in our immunity level. Normally people suffers from indigestion, allergies and several infections.

Let us below out some tips that will keep us healthy during the monsoon:

Try to avoid street food

Wash your hands and feet very frequently

Avoid wearing tight clothes

Precautions in Monsoon:

Keep Raincoat or umbrella with you always – The most important & effective thing that you can do is always keep your rain gear ready when you go out in the rainy season. A long raincoat with a hooded jacket and waterproof shoes are the best items.

Vitamin C – Try to intake more quantity of Vitamin C either in natural form or as food supplement will help you drive away the cold virus faster.

Shower After Being Caught in Rain – Although it sounds very unusual because if you are already getting wet in rain, you will never want to take another shower. But taking a shower, after you have been caught in the rain, will protect you from many infections.

Hot Drinks – This is the one season when you would like to take hot drinks. After taking a good bath, dry yourself and wear dry & clean clothes. The best thing is to make a hot soup for yourself or at least drink a cup of hot milk. This will help you with body pain too which might occur after getting drench in rain.

Cleanliness – Micro-organisms, and bacterias are susceptible to grow in the rainy season, try to maintain hygiene near you. Cleanliness is very important during the rainy season. Even if you catch a cold, you should clean your hands regularly and use a sanitizer always after that.

Drink Plenty of Water – Drinking water in monsoon may reduce naturally because of the sudden and minor drop in the temperature of the environment. It is good to drink plenty of water this season and do not wait to get thirsty to drink water. This will help you to drain toxins from your body.

Watch Out your Intake – Try to eat nutritious food and avoid eating street food during the rainy season. Prepare the meal with full precaution after washing the vegetables and maintain health and hygiene throughout the house.

It is very important to keep yourself neat & clean and protected during the rainy season because you can catch infection frequently. It is always better to take precautions and be prepared with your rain gear whenever you go out of your home.
