Rainbow MountainPosted by machupicchu majesticperu on July 31st, 2018 TOUR DURATION: all day (3:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.) AVAILABILITY: every day PLACE DESCRIPTION: A geological wonder given to us by Mother Nature, the snow-capped chain of mountains including Rainbow Mountain feature plateaus, streams, snowy valleys and diverse fauna like camelids, sheep, birds and the indigenous Andean people with their unique customs and clothing. The “national geographic” magazine includes this as one of the 100 places one must visit before dying. ITINERARY: Pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 3:00 am to transport to the village of Pitumarca (approximately 3 hours). In this village we will have breakfast and then continue to Pampa Chiri (at the foot of snowy Ausangate). We will walk approximately 3 hours to arrive at our objective SEVEN COLORS MOUNTAIN, 5000 meters high. We then have a brief guided tour and a time to rest and take photos. Afterwards, we begin our descent to Pampa Chiri, where our transport awaits to take us to the village of Pitumarca for lunch and then our return to the city of Cusco (arrival time 6:30 pm approx). LAKE HUMANTAY TOUR DURATION: All day (from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) AVAILABILITY: every day PLACE DESCRIPTION: Recommended for nature lovers, a beautiful turquoise lagoon located at 4200 mt. From the foot of the snowy Humantay, visitors appreciate a majestic landscape featuring exotic flora and fauna along a trek through the valley and mountains. This is truly an unforgettable adventure. ITINERARY: Pick up from your hotel in Cusco 5:00 am to travel to the town of Mollepata. Once there we have our breakfast then continue our trip to the community of SORAYPAMPA (3900 m). We then walk 1 hour and 30 minutes aprox. Until reaching the HUMANTAY LAGOON (4200 m) where we will have time to enjoy this magical place with its snowy mountains, exotic vegetation and turquoise lagoon. We then descend to Soraypampa to meet our transport to the town of Mollepata for our lunch before returning to the city of Cusco. IT INCLUDES:
