1. "The Taming of the Shrew."

           The Taming of the Shrew has a style of a single case introduction. The play has an appropriate material that is fit for comedy not just in the Shakespeare’s time but also for modern day audiences. For example, the notion of taming that Petruchio uses towards his spirited wife Kate is neither acceptable nor amusing. The play style involves both the styles of Latin and Italian styles.

               The costumes reflect the period of the pay’s setting despite lacking flashy colors. The costumes present a unique and beautiful theater. The costume design reflects the theme and the setting. In doing so, the costume has the power to provoke and outrage. The costume is entertaining because some are ridiculous. Like the costume that Petruchio wears for his wedding. It makes him look ridiculous and at the same time funny because we know he is doing it with the intention of embarrassing or taming his wife to be.

        The players are performing their roles as expected. Petruchio is portrayed as persons with harsh, offensive and domineering behavior. Kate also plays her role effective as a woman in submission. However, we can see the unusual castings as well as a unique staging approach with the effort of recapturing the comic elements of the play.

4. I liked the play, and I would like to visit one in persons. It is a play that brings out the social theme of sexual politics in a comical way. I will, therefore, love to experience the humor of this play first-hand.
