Taking Your Children to the Hajj

Hajj is obligatory at least once in a lifetime for a person who is financially, physically and mentally able. Thus, getting an opportunity to perform hajj in life is an exceptional blessing of Allah Almighty. Hajj itself is a great responsibility for Muslims. And when taking your children to hajj, the responsibility also increases. If you’ve booked your hajj packages 2020 UK, and taking your children with you, here are a few tips.

Start preparing; Plan Ahead

If you’ve made your mind to perform Hajj with your children, start preparing. Plan your journey ahead. Consider your travel needs. Keeping in view your requirements, customize your travel plan. It is usually better to book private travel and accommodation when with children. As it not only gives your family privacy but also keeps them relaxed and comfortable just like the environment of the home. Thus, it's better to spend a little more than to regret later.

Vaccination is necessary

Vaccination is necessary. In fact, it is required by the Saudi Government. Adults are better immune to different viral diseases as well as possess bodily strength to bear the illness. However, for children, the risk of catching viral diseases increases. So, consult your doctor. Observe the need for any possible vaccinations and get those shots.

Teach your children about hajj

Make your children mentally prepared for the journey. Teach them about the hajj, its importance and rituals yet in an interesting manner. Make them prepared for the possible challenges that might come. Make them aware of the concept of contacting emergency numbers in case someone gets lost.

Keep them busy

When travelling long distances, on foot or on buses, children don’t bear sitting idle. In addition, they can easily become bored. Thus, bring some of their favourite toys or activity books. Keep them as much busy as you can.

Bring a Baby Stroller/Carrier with you

Baby stroller/carrier is a lifesaver. Not only it frees you from the hassle of looking after your children every minute but also you are better aware of their demands all the time. Stoller can be used while walking long distances. However, during hajj, Baby Carrier is the best option. Because the crowd is humongous. Thus, for the safety of your children as well of others, always prefer baby carrier.

Pack all the essentials

One must only pack all the essentials for the Hajj trip. Avoid Overpacking. The lesser baggage you take, the more organized you will be. Thus, make portions for all your packing needs. So that you can easily access anything, anytime, anywhere without becoming frustrated.

• Clothing. (Ihram, Loose fitting Kurta Pyjamas, Diapers, etc.)
• Electronics (Mobile Phones, Tablets, Chargers, Toys, etc.)
• Items of personal Use. (Lotions, Sanitizers, etc.)
• Umbrella.
• Copies of travel documents.
• Favourite snacks.
• First-aid kit and necessary as well as precautionary medications.

Where the responsibility increases, Allah Almighty also increases the reward. Thus, you will get the reward of multiple Hajj when you are also taking your children and family with you.
