Civil Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines that deals with the construction, designing, maintenance and supervision of infrastructures like roads, canals, dams, buildings, schools, hospitals,  sewerage systems and so on. It even involves protection of public and environmental health which in turn contributes to the overall welfare of the society as a whole. In simple words, it involves planning, designing and execution of structural work. 

The work of a civil engineer is to plan and design a project, construct it to the required scale and even maintain it. Civil engineering has been further subdivided into various divisions like water resources engineering, coastal engineering, environmental engineering, construction engineering and so on. 

A civil engineer has many career options to choose from and has various job opportunities waiting for him once he passes his 4-year undergraduate program. Scholarship Exam for Civil Engineering is conducted every year on the AIEESE Secondary platform. Interested candidates can download the form from their official website, duly fill it in, attach a photograph along with the copy of the Adhaar card and pay the fee online to register successfully for appearing for the AIEESE Secondary scholarship exams for Civil Engineering

To apply for the scholarship program for Civil Engineering at the AIEESE platform, the candidate should fulfill the following academic criteria:

  • He should have passed his 10+2 final examinations, or an equivalent qualifying examination, with at least 60% marks in all subjects. 

  • They then require to appear for the AIEESE secondary examination provisionally

  • A candidate is allowed 3 attempts to get through for the AIEESE scholarship exams while an SC/ST/PH is permitted 5 attempts.

Scholarships for Civil Engineering is granted in 3 categories as per the marks obtained by candidates in their AIEESE secondary examinations. 500 students who have secured 85% and above in their AIEESE examinations are eligible for full four years tuition fees as scholarship reward for pursuing a course in Civil Engineering in participating IIT and NIT colleges across the country. 

1500 candidates who secure more than 75% but less than 85% marks are given 1 year tuition fee as their scholarship award while 3000 students who score more than 65% but less than 75% marks in their AIEESE exams are eligible to get a standard laptop as their scholarship merit.
