HONEY: honey has self healing properties. It contains the vitamins and minerals that are lacking in refined table sugar, making it a much healthier sweetener. Honey has always been taken traditionally for heartburn and stomach ulcers. The only warning against this delicious, bacteria fighting sweetener is that it should never be given to children under the age of one because raw honey may contain botulism spores. Other important health benefits of honey are:


First aids for wounds. Honey can be used topically. Honey soaked gauze can be wrapped around wounds to help healing and applied to insect bite to sooth and prevent infections. Eat a table spoon of honey to sooth a sore throat and also soothe the throat. One table spoon of unfiltered and unprocessed honey can do wonder for allergies.
